Back-Office Point-of-Sale Processing with
EPX Virtual Terminal

The EPX Virtual Terminal offers another option for launching credit card payments, debit card payments, and ACH payments straight through the EPX solution. Easily accessible from your web browser, the Virtual Terminal requires no integration, eliminating any demand on your technical staff. EPX Virtual Terminal, offered through EPX WebSuite, provides the functionality of a pc based credit card processing POS terminal and offers modes for processing POS swipe and PIN debit, MO/TO, and ecommerce transactions.

Perfect for handling low-volume exception transactions or call center items, EPX Virtual Terminal provides real-time credit card authorizations, including AVS and CVV checks. The ability to initiate electronic check transactions is built directly into the EPX Virtual Terminal, providing a single location to initiate all credit, debit, and ACH payment transactions. Plus, you can optionally add additional data to each transaction.

Powerful, Flexible, and Secure Payment Processing

EPX Virtual Terminal is perfect for initiating payments over the telephone right from a merchant's desktop. However, the flexibility of this remarkable product is evident in its ability to quickly adapt to the card present world, by simply adding a card reader to a computer. The cost of a card reading "wedge" is significantly less than a point-of-sale terminal, literally saving a merchant hundreds of dollars per terminal location while providing a fast, secure method of processing transactions.

EPX is the first payment processor to offer a true end-to-end solution that endorses and incorporates both tokenization and encryption for securing cardholder data from the card reader through the entire transaction lifecycle. Using encrypted card readers with EPX’s BuyerWall™ credit card data tokenization technology, EPX has virtually removed merchants’ point-of-sale systems and card readers from the scope of PCI compliance and has substantially eliminated merchant liability associated with the risk of processing, transmitting, and storing sensitive cardholder data.

Access to EPX Virtual Terminal is controlled at the user level through individual logins that the merchant administers. The capabilities of each user are controlled through their individual login, allowing administrators to establish specific roles and responsibilities for each member of their staff.
